Career Profile

Dr. Roshan Lal is a distinguished Food Technologist, holding postgraduate and Ph.D. degrees in Food Technology. He has augmented his expertise through additional professional courses, encompassing Food Laws & Standards, Food Microbiology & Food Safety, and Nutrition & Child Care. Dr. Lal's multidisciplinary approach is exemplified by his Master's in Business Administration, enriching his holistic understanding of the field.

With over 7.5 years of teaching experience in Food Technology, Dr. Lal has significantly contributed to nurturing the next generation of professionals. He has not only completed several faculty induction programs (02) but has also actively engaged in faculty development initiatives (04). Moreover, as an industrial demand of Food Technologist he has around 1.5 years of industrial experience.

With the Ph.D. research, Dr. Lal has research extension with UGC-funded major research projects. His scholarly impact is evident through a prolific publication record, comprising more than 21 research papers in reputable international journals and 4 book chapters, where his publications have received over 430 citations and achieved an H-index of 8. He has also shared his insights at approximately 9 National and International conferences and symposiums. Recognized as an authority in his field, Dr. Lal has been invited as a resource person to approximately 9 different events, showcasing his expertise and prominence. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Lal is an adept organizer and participant in various professional events. He has orchestrated over 12 events, including Seminars, Workshops, Training sessions, and Expert Lectures, thereby facilitating knowledge dissemination. He has also actively attended over 13 national & international seminars and conferences, remaining attuned to the latest developments and trends in his field. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led the organization of more than 8 live webinars, contributing to the virtual learning landscape.

Additionally, Dr. Roshan Lal is a lifetime member of the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India), AFST(I), and the Nutrition Society of India.
