NCWEB

Non-collegiate Women’s Education Board of Lakshmibai College Centre caters to approximately 1400 girl students who are deprived of regular college education. The classes are held on every Sunday. Besides the regular teaching the centre also strives to promote overall development of its students through various extracurricular activities, cultural programmes and conducting seminars and talks.

To this effect the centre had organized a cultural programme on 6 December 2015. In this many students participated with abundant enthusiasm.The centre to give academic exposure to its students had organized a seminar on Women’s Empowerment on 20 December 2015. The chief guest of this seminar was Shri Balmukund Pandey, who is the President of Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana.  Professor Kumud Sharma of the Hindi department was the keynote speaker in this seminar. Dr. Pratyush Vatsala, Principal Lakshmibai College, whose book was also released in this seminar, chaired the session. Dr. Anju Gupta, Director, NCWEB addressed the students on this topic. Many competitions were organized for the students to bring out their talents. The students were encouraged to join the skill development programme, which was organized by NCWEB of Delhi University. The companies in on-campus recruitment programme selected many students from our centre.
