Career Profile

With sheer dedication and hard work devoted to the Physical Education and Sports department of my college over the past 29 years, I have managed to bring my college amongst the top two colleges of the University of Delhi in the field of Sports.

• I have introduced around 24 games wherein the students have been participating and winning medals at various different levels such as International, National, All India Inter- University, Inter-college and State level etc.

• I have been able to get the funds approved (around Rs. 23 Lacs) from the Ministry of Youth Welfare and Sports to our college for the construction of a Synthetic Basketball Court, Gym-equipments, Shooting equipments, etc. under the Commonwealth Legacy Plan 2010.

• Cricket pitch and shooting range, netball court, basketball court, ball badminton court, exercise gym, shooting range, handball court were constructed during my tenure in the college premises.

• With the all dedicated efforts our college sports ground was turned into one of the best ground of Delhi University and Lakshmibai college is coveted for conducting the various tournaments/competitions of different levels such as All India university, National, Inter-College,  State level,  CBSC (School level) and University & National Coaching camp also.

• The tournaments and competitions are organised at different levels as convenor and Tournament Director. 

Administrative Assignments

Organised the Webinar as Convener on “Physio-Psychological fitness in the Society” from 26th to 27th June 2020. 

• Organised the Interactive session as Convener on “Healthy & Active Lifestyle='none'; In Corona Times” on 6th August, 2020.

• Organised the UGC sponsored National Conference Entitled “Impact of Sports on the Lifestyle='none'; of Youth” from 27th to 28 March, 2019. 

• Attended as speaker in National Seminar on Curriculum and Syllabi Design in the Paradigm of Physical Education organised by Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education & Sports Sciences (2016).

• Member of Organizing Committee of International Conference entitled “Olympics And Indian Values in Global Context” held at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi 25-27th September, 2018.

• Chair the Session in International Conference entitled “Olympics And Indian Values in Global Context” held at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi 25-27th September, 2018.

• Nominated as the Convenor of the committee constituted for Conduct of Fitness Trials by the colleges identified for the specific sports/games by Delhi University Sports Council for Admission under sports quota 2016-17.

• Convenor of one week Workshop on “Surya Namaskar” under the innovation project assigned to Dr. Mukesh Agarwal, Maharaja Agrasen College (Prime Investigator) 2015-16 of Delhi University jointly organised by Maharaja Agrasen College and Lakshmibai College in March 14-21, 2016. 

• Appointed for an Observer for DUET- 2016 for Post Graduate Entrance Exam at Ramanujan College on 20th June 2016.

• Nominated by DUSC as the member of the committee for finalization of norms/ schedule for Certificate Marking for admission on the basis of sports in undergraduate courses 2016.

• Nominated as the Member of Sub Committee to finalize the paper for Generic Elective Course by the Department of Physical Education & Sports Sciences, 2016

• Nominated as Manager for All India Inter University Baseball (W) Tournament 2015-16. 

• Nominated as Convenor for the Centralised Sports Trials to be held in Lakshmibai College for Baseball (Men & Women), Cricket (w), and Volleyball (w) 2015-16.

• Manager of Delhi University Baseball Women Team participated in All India Baseball Inter-university Tournament held at Chandigarh (2015-16). Team bagged Second position.

• Nominated as the member of Executive Committee of DUSC 2015-2016.

• Nominated by Himachal Pradesh Public Service commission as member of the committee deputed to prepare the question papers for SET (Service Eligibility Test) for the recruitment of Assistant professor in the college, 2015.

• Member of the selection committee of Aditi Mahavidyalaya for the post of Assistant Professor in Physical Education on Adhoc basis.2015. 

• Worked as venue manager of Delhi University practice venue for Boxing and Netball (Both) during the IX Commonwealth Games 2010 held in Delhi.

• Member of different Inter- College Tournament Committees of Delhi University for e.g. athletics, cross country, baseball, softball, cricket, volleyball, boxing, wrestling, Netball, kho-kho, kabaddi, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting since so many years and continued till date.

• Appointed as DUSC Nominee/expert  by Delhi University Sports Council for the admissions under sports quota for different colleges such as Kalindi (2012), Deshbandhu College, Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Khalsa (eve), SPMC (Softball, 2019)  etc.

• Member of Organising committee (cultural committee) in International Conference “International Congress on Sports Psychology” (ICSP- 2014) jointly organised by Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (University of Delhi) October 2014.

• Organized Three Players Open Delhi State (U-19, Girls) Volleyball Tournament 2014 at Lakshmibai College in May, 2014. 

• Invited as an expert to give the lecture in D.I.E.T educational classes of school. 

• Nominated as member of Official/Organizing Committee for North Zone  All India Inter University Cricket (W) Tournament 2013-14. 

• Member of the faculty of Inter Academic and Applied Sciences under the statue 9(3)(V) of University of Delhi, 2013.

• Worked as Organizing Secretary in 4th Delhi State Langdi tournament 2013-2014. 

• Manager of Delhi University Volleyball Women Team participated in All India Volleyball Interuniversity Tournament held at Bareilly, 2013.

• Member of the Organising Committee of International Conference on “Sports Economics and Vision of London Olympics 2012” in University of Delhi, 2012.

• Served as Expert/Member for Post Graduate Admission under Sports Category, 2012-13.

• Member of Purchase Committee of Delhi University Sports Council (2012-13).

• Nominated as member of technical/Organizing Committee for All India Inter University Baseball (M/W) Tournament 2012-13. 

• Nominated as the member of the committee to prepare criteria for Research and Academics by Delhi University sports Council in year 2012.

• Member of the committee deputed by Governing Body of the college to look after the case of High Court filed by Mr. Premkant against Lakshmibai College 2012.

• Appointed as a member of the expert committee deputed by DUSC to verify the sports certificates and to select the sports students in various games, 2011.

• I was appointed as an Expert for Plating Ability Test for B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. for admission conducted by Department of  Physical Education & Sports Sciences, June 2007.

• Member of the committee for raising the resource material for Application Course in B.A. Programme of Physical Education of university of Delhi. (2007).

• Member of organizing desk in one day workshop on May 23, 2007 on “Management of Sports Injuries” organised by Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Delhi.

• Manager of Delhi State Senior Softball Team participated in Delhi Senior State Softball Championship and secured 1st position, held at SPM College, university of Delhi, 15th to 17th December, 2006.

• I was an observer for the B. Ed admissions Written Entrance Test organized by CIE on May 28, 2006.

• Member of the selection committee for recommending for the post of lecturer for the Department of Physical education. (2002). 

• Worked as Technical Official in North Zone & Inter- University Volleyball (w) tournament (2001-02) by Delhi University sports Council held at Delhi University.

• Nominated as Technical Official in Interuniversity Volleyball Tournament (women) (NEZ & IU) held at Delhi University 2001-2002.

• I was also a member of the college Governing Body as a Teachers’ representative.

• I had been invited by Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences as an Expert for the admission on the basis of sports performance to undergraduate courses in 2006.

• Manager of Delhi university teams participated in All India Inter University Championships in kabaddi in Aurangabad.

• Member of Organising Committee in the 6th Asian Junior Athletic Championships held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, 3rd to 6th December, 1996. 

• Organised North Zone Kho – Kho tournament in the college premises, February, 1992.

• I have been appointed as the convenor of many games of inter-college tournaments such as Volley ball, Kabaddi (2000), Cricket, Softball (1996), Baseball, Netball, kho-kho, Volleyball, yoga etc. and conducted tournament in the above mentioned sports disciplines since so many years.  

• Manager of Delhi university teams participated in All India Inter University Championships in kabaddi in Kanpur (Itawah) 1991. 

• Officiated in Delhi State athletic meet organized by Delhi State Athletic Association (1987, 1990, and 1991).

• Acted as an Official in All India Inter- University Athletic Meet held at Pant Nagar in 1985-1986.

• Member of Organising Committee in the 8th Asian Track & Field Meet held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, 14th to 19th December, 1989.

• Organized different tournaments in the college premises like Judo, Softball, Volleyball, Cricket, Net ball, Kabaddi, Baseball at Inter-college as well as State level and Intra-class level/Intra murals since so many years..

• Organized many events for non teaching and teaching staff also.

• Sports Day is also organized by providing a platform to all the students, teachers and non-teaching staff to participate enthusiastically.

• Organized Cross-country race is for all the students of the college (Intra- college level).

• Served as the member of College Academic Improvement Committee, Library Committee, Alumni Committee, etc

• I was an Expert in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College for the admission on the basis of sports performance to undergraduate courses for two years.

• Organized Sports Day in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College.

• Served as an official in Inter-College tournaments like Cross- Country championship, Athletic Meet, Marathon run, etc.

• I have been organised Annual Sports Day for Non-Collegiate students of the college for many years.

• Vice President of Delhi Baseball Association since 2014 onwards and continuing till date.

• Vice President of Delhi State Volleyball Association since 2009 to 2016 and now continuing as Executive member of the same.

• Vice President of Delhi State Kabaddi Association since 2013 to 2019.

Other Activities

Served as Convener  of Sports Awards  given to sports persons of Lakshmibai College on Annual Sports Day for many years.

Served  as the member of the cultural committee of Lakshmibai College also.
