Career Profile

Dr Mrs Alka Harneja Is a Professor in the Department of Commerce Lakshmibai College and has a teaching experience of thirty eight years. She did her schooling from Presentation Convent High School, Delhi, B.Com Hons from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, M.Com from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. She has done her Ph.D from Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Dr Harneja is a Life Member of The Indian Accounting Association. Her specialization is in the area of Accounting and Finance and teaching interests include Insurance, Domestic financial accounting, Business laws, Corporate laws, Business Management and Human Resource Management.

Dr Harneja has organised a number of workshop, FDPs, webinars, Online Peer Learning Training Programme, seminars etc.  Has  participated in over fifty conferences, work shops, symposiums and faculty development programmes.She has presented research papers in many national and international conferences and the papers have been published in various renowned Journals.

Dr Harneja was Awarded Meritorious Teachers Award by Government of Delhi in 2019

Dr Harneja was awarded ITS Special Education Award in 2004 by International Association of Educators for World Peace a UN affiliated NGO.
