Career Profile

Career Synopsis

• Completed my Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (Centre for the Study of Social Systems), New Delhi.
• The thesis was entitled “Marital Quality in India: A study based in the National Capital Region”.
• Earlier, I obtained MA (Sociology) and M. Phil (Social Systems) from Centre for the Study of Social Systems (CSSS), JNU.
• My M.Phil dissertation was titled, “Marriage as a social institution: The Nature-Nurture Antinomy”. The dissertation is now published in the form of a book entitled Duality of Human Marriage (2019).
• I hold research experience as a Senior Research Assistant at Nehru Memorial Museum & Library since July 2019.
• I received the prestigious T.K. Oommen award for having scored the highest CGPA during my MA course.
• Qualified UGC-NET exam [UGC Ref. No. 7368/(NET-DEC. 2014)].
• Prior to this, I graduated with a B. Tech degree from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur and also worked in the IT industry as a Software Engineer.

• Presented a paper entitled, “Wifehood in Ancient India: A Critical Appraisal of the status of Women as reflected in ancient Sanskrit texts” in a 3-day International Conference, “India & Southeast Asia: One Indic Belt, Shared Culture & Common Destiny (April, 26-28, 2018) sponsored by the Indian Embassy of Indonesia.
• Presented a paper entitled, “Gender, Employment, and Marital Quality: A comparison between India and Europe” in a 2-day International Conference, “Emerging Socio-Cultural and Political Issues: India and Europe” held on May 24-25, 2021.

• Delivered a lecture entitled, “Ideas have Consequences: Ideology and Student Politics in current times” at a seminar, “Breaking India Forces in Indian Campuses” organized by Infinity Foundation, USA at Jawaharlal Nehru University on February 10, 2019.
• Was the resource person at a 2-day workshop titled “Workshop on Methodologies and Tools in Social Research” organized by Rashtram School of Public Leadership, Sonepat, Haryana on 25-26 September, 2021.
• Taught a 45-hour, three-week long course on “Research Methodologies: Global and Indic” at the Rashtram School of Public Leadership, Rishihood University, Sonepat, Haryana from 13/12/2021 to 31/12/2021.
